An epic left point break Manzanillo sits on your door step at Guacalito, where guests can get barreled on its rippable face on this uncrowded break. Explore the neighboring breaks with a surf tour where you will be taken to the best waves and secluded secret spots by boat. Always wanted to learn how to surf but never really found the time? We are proud to offer services ranging from beginner lessons and coaching sessions to mastering the resort’s Manzanillo Point. Guacalito has boards for hire, including a selection of fire wires, beginner boards and Stand Up Paddles available for hire.

A truly unique and unpredictable private course with challenging ocean-front play, The Golf Course at Guacalito de la Isla was designed by David McLay Kidd, award winning designer of Bandon Dunes and the Seventh Course at St.Andrews Links. The Golf Course at Guacalito de la Isla is a private, 18-hole signature course. Play will blend seamlessly with the rolling forests and high, ocean bluffs, unveiling mesmerizing vistas at each fairway. Multiple tees on each hole will please all ages, novice and expert alike.

Consider golf at Guacalito a walk through a wilderness park alive with the calls of tropical birds and the chatter of curious monkeys. Surely, this is how the game was meant to be played.

Turtle Release

Take part in wild life conservation

Guacalito de la Isla takes pride in their Sea Turtle Conservation Program since it is a haven for these impressive creatures to come and lay their eggs. The Resort has designated certain sites for a turtle refuge and exists solely to conserve and help these sea turtles. Experience the marvel of nature preservation through our on-site baby turtle release. Our Sea Turtle Conservation Program helps re-populate the regions’ turtles, such as the endangered Olive Ridley Sea Turtles and Leatherback Sea Turtles that nest on our beaches.

The emerging sport from Hawaiian heritage is an ancient form of surfing that has reemerged as a way for surfers to paddle longer distances. SUP is a great sport for beginners or advanced enthusiasts. Explore the beautiful coastline from an ocean perspective or join us for one of our many SUP adventures.

Report to the surf shack and pick out the Stand Up board that suits you best and go rip the waves or cruise the coastline.

Yoga

Yoga tailored to your needs

Make a Journey to transformation through the practice of yoga and meditation. Our instructors tailor each session to your individual needs and levels and focus on what you need to receive from your practice. Here the exercise is about moving the body and at the same time exploring the breath and wide range of motions in which the body can move. It is a choreographed performance exploring the creative possibilities and potential of an individual. These sessions are generally energizing and relaxing alike.

Private sessions are available and allow you the undivided attention of the instructor who can tailor a program for you for the duration of your stay. Private yoga styles include Iyengar levels 1-3, Restorative or Gentle Yoga, Hatha Vinyasa Flow, and Introduction to Pranayama or Breath Meditation.
